Master Game for 2 Players
Required Sets: Rise of the Valkyrie
Goal: Destroy all of your opponents' figures.
Setup: Place the glyphs power-side up where shown.
Player 1 drafts a 400-point army and starts in the olive starting zone. Player 2 drafts
a 260-point army and starts in the purple starting zone. Player 2 does not have to
place his/her army on the battlefield while drafting and may place it after player
1 has placed his/her entire army.
Special Rules: At the beginning of round 6, 7, or 8 if player 2 has at least 1 figure still alive,
player 2 may recieve 400 points of reinforcements by rolling the 20-sided die. For
reinforcements to arrive on round 6, a roll of 11-20 is needed; on round 7, a roll
of 6-20 is needed; on round 8, reinforcements are automatic. Reinforcements may arrive
only once in the game and must start in the teal starting zone.
Victory: When the other player has no figures left on the battlefield, you win. If the battle
reaches the end of round 12, then the battle is over and the player with the most
points on the battlefield wins.
After taking heavy losses (in the Clashing Fronts), one army is victorious. However, news of a more powerful enemy rapidly approaching makes the survivors wary. Rather than moving on and engaging them in the open plains, the surviving army remains camped on the Table of Giants, taking advantage of the terrain's defensive features. Now the long wait for reinforcements begins.
